It implements strategies and measures to promote equal pay between employees, not focusing on gender, but rather on professional growth, through the development of team orientation tools.

Wage inequality between women and men in Portugal remains a serious problem, with structural causes that need to be tackled. According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), women and men are entitled to equal pay for work of equal value, but it recognizes that wage inequality is a persistent and universal problem and that, since women entered the labour market, they have generally been paid lower than men.

Although this wage gap has been decreasing in Portugal over the past few years (from 18.4% in 2012 to 13.3% in 2020), it has been a very slow decrease and far below the intended targets. It is therefore essential to mobilise the whole of society and all organizations to commit themselves to promoting equality between women and men in the labour market, in particular in terms of remuneration.
